Mounting is very simple, 4 tabs to weld on to the chassis, 4 springs and 4 dzus buttons.

OFF TO SONOMA

Well, Tom and Ross will be at Sonoma this year, Harley and I are staying behind. I had hoped to be able to go but things came up that need me to stay home. So when you see Tom remind him to give me a call. Also stop by his pit and check out the new Dragster of his, let me know what you think of the paint job, and his helmet. Also ask about the new belly pans we are selling, he was one on his new dragster and some spars in the trailer for sale. They are also taking Chuck Phelps front suspension dragster with them, Chuck will be there for the Div race, but they will have it out for you to look at.
Well everyone have fun, hope to see you at Bakersfield Div.

FRONT SUSPENSION SYSTEM

Yes, Tom Yancer Race Cars has done it again!.

Here at TYRC we keep trying to invent, tweak, or make new products that will help the racer. We have been working on a front suspension system for a few years now. With the help of one of our customers Chuck Phelps from here in town. Chuck has been our test pilot over the years.

This new system can be retrofitted on to almost any dragster (sportsman type) out there now.

Chuck has log allot of runs with the new system, he has seen better reaction times, few red light, as to the front end not popping up. The drive is smoother, and with the front wheels staying in the beams the 60 foot times are more consistent.

Chuck was also awarded the BEST ENGINEERED award at the Las Vegas Div 7 race back in April of this year.

THE LITTLE ENGINE THAT COULD

This children's story reminds me of Craig Treble. We've known him a long time, from they days of his bracket racing, starting out in the Pro field same time we tried our hand at Pro Stock Truck. Craig has almost had the fair tail ending a couple of times, but for some reason he keeps finding himself with out a sponsor. But back to the story, the little engine just would not stop tyring, and this weekend sounds like Crag. No major full time sponsor, no full time crew chief, and this weekend with the last min changes to his help.
Copied from NHRA
“This track loves me, and I love it,” said Treble, who now has two wins in five final rounds in Englishtown. “I don’t know what it is but I really like it here. The guys like Matt Smith and Eddie [Krawiec] that went 6.90 were out of my league. I did not have a .90 in my bike. Of course, I don’t feel bad about the final because Eddie whipped my butt the last time we raced. I owed that to him. I was doing okay on the starting line, but I just let it fly in the final and went .007. I should have done that other three rounds, but it worked. I’m looking forward to the west coast swing now. I’ve got a major engine overhaul coming up after Norwalk, and I can afford it now.

“Normally my brother, Don Banaski, and Scott Williams are my crew guys, but neither one of them could make it this weekend. I recruited Johnny Thompson, then he broke his leg Friday night, so Michael Phillips and his crew helped us out. Michael is one of my best friends, and I wouldn’t be out here without him."

The final was the second straight round Treble won on a holeshot; he defeated Matt Smith in the same fashion in the semi’s, pairing a .033 reaction with a 6.96 to better Smith’s 6.904, the quickest time of the weekend. Leading up to those rounds, Treble ran a 6.93 and a 6.97 to get past Mike Berry and Karen Stoffer

BRYAN BRUHN'S NEW DRAGSTER

Saturday Bryan of Fullerton Ca, picked up his new dragster, he was all smile's, reminded me of a kid in a candy store. Cant wait to see it finished and on the track.

CONGRATS TO RYAN GIACONE IN SST

Way to go Ryan, So sorry to see you go out in the Jegs All Star but at least you are bringing home the Wally for the Nat race to Arizona. Ryan is a excellent racer, I'm not sure who is tougher him or Dwight Downing (Div 7 SST). I've had the pleasure of racing both.

CONGRATS TO MARK COLTON

Congrats to Mark Colton on his win at Medford in the Megabucks race.
Cant seem to find much about it on the Internet, if anyone has more info please let me know. Everything I found had the wrong person listed, they were getting Mark mixed up with Mike Coltrin until someone informed them that Mike was not at this race.
"Burgundy Yancer dragster going like 7.13 is what he is now telling me."

Yes that Burgundy dragster with finders would be Mark.

Mark sorry no photo cant seem to find them.

Just thought I would share a few photos of Alexis with you, hard to think she is 6 months already.

UPDATE ON HARLEY AND ME

Some of you have been asking Tom why Harley and I have not been at th last few races. We have been working at getting certified by the Delta Society which is a National group for what most call pet therapy, these are the pets that go to the Hospitals and care centers to visit the patents. We have passed all our test and are now official volunteers at the Chandler Hospital here in town, we work on Sundays trying to visit as many as we can on our shift, we've been seeing about 50 per shift. It is so nice to see someones face lite up and have them tell you how much they enjoy the visit, although Harley is getting tired of being called a pony. Now we are planing on being at both the Sonoma races this summer, so hope to see you then.

A LITTLE PRE-EASTER EGG COLORING

Well last weekend while many of you were at the Las Vegas Nat. race, Kimberly and I stayed home (someone has to work.lol). I had the joy of watching my 2 oldest grand-daughters on Friday, so Kimberly decided we should dye Easter eggs. Sounds like FUN, next year I think I'll let them use magic markers and stickers in stead of dye.

We had fun, Ryeligh (2-1/2) likes to eat and drink everything, yes she tried to drink the dye and when offered an egg with out the shell, she put the whole thing in her mouth.

Hayden (2-3/4) was so excited that he spilled green dye on him and his chair. Ashlynn (3), we could not keep up with her, she was dying faster than we could help her. And while we were tending to them, the newest grand-daughter Alexis (5 months) just sat in her jumper watching and laughing at us.

LAS VEGAS NAT.

Well, after waiting out the rain and SNOW on Friday, getting one round off Saturday night, Tim Landis made it look easy again, to take home yet another Wally. Now Tim if you win this upcoming weekends Div race, I'm sure someone will post the money to tear you down (lol). Anyone who knows Tim, knows he is a GOOD racer, all of us who race Super Street were hoping he would stay in Super Gas, but when he was given (yes Given) back is Super Street car we all knew we were in trouble.

I cant remember a race at Firebird that when off so well, no big wrecks, bad oil downs or bad weather. Now with that said, Congrats to Thomas Bayer for is win over Larry Marshall in S/C. Larry I was pulling for you, hope to see you in the winners photo this weekend.
Mike Ferderer in S/G. And a special mention has to good out to Karen Comstock, a.k.a. Blondie, a.k.a. DRAMA QUEEN, after this past week. Karen did good, she made it to round four. Lets hope this next week end goes smoother.

GET WELL SOON MIKE RICE

For anyone who didn't see Mike Rice our Div 7 Director this week end it was because he spent it in the Hospital here in Phoenix, I was told they released him Sunday and that he was flying home to be the his family, but should be back at Firebird for this weekends Div 7 race. So if you see Mike, just check in on him and make sure he is taking it easy.

BBQ AT FIREBIRD DIV 7 RACE

OK, it's on for Friday night February 27. Mike Rice has told me he hopes the racing will be over by 7 pm. We are going to try and start at 6 pm and serve until we run out of food. If you are racing the class that's last down the track we will still be cooking for you.

RUMOR HAS IT

I've heard rumors that the Div 7 race at Fontana is moving to the weekend after the first Las Vegas race in April. I've not seen anything on NHRA's site yet but I've been told by several that it should be posted this week, so be on the look out for that change.

SPEEDWORLD OPEN

Well it was a nice weekend for the race at Speedworld. We left kinda of early, Tom hurt his motor so we packed it up and came home to start getting ready for Firebird. From what I've been told they had to close down the track before the finals could be run, they are going to be ran this weekend at Firebird. I don't have any info as to who is still in.

RAIN, RAIN GO AWAY, YES WE HAVE WINNERS

Congrats to all you racers who stuck it out, I don't know if Tom and I could have stayed there for a week confined inside the motor home and listen to the rain.
I hope this is not a preview of the up coming season's weather, I remember a few years back when it seemed like every National had some type of bad weather, and one of jokes was that NHRA stood for Next Heavy Rain Area. Well again congrats to the winner, see you at Speedworld this weekend for the Div 7 open and then the next week at Firebird for the Nat., followed by the div there and then the Div at Tucson. (lots of racing)

DIV 7 B-B-QUE AT FIREBIRD 2/27/09

OK, I know many of you have been waiting to hear if we are doing it again, YES we are. It will be Friday night starting about 6 pm, still working out the time with Mike Rice. This year we are going back to the basics, Hot dogs, Hamburgers, Yes my Chili will be back, Chicken, and Dicks special salad. I'll update as the date gets closer.
